Football manager faces ban over gay remarks
Former Brazil coach, Wanderley Luxemburgo is facing a possible one year ban from football management after allegedly making gay remarks towards a referee.
Luxemburgo, currently managing Santos in Brazil, is being investigated for making inappropriate comments about a match official in his team's 3-1 defeat to Sao Paulo.
He is reported to have said: "The referee was looking at me all the time. I don't know if he likes me, but I'm not gay."
The charge is being looked at by Sao Paulo's Court of Sport Justice, for infringing the 188th article of the Brazilian sporting code which refers to inappropriate comments about referees in the media.
If found guilty, the manager could be banned for between 60 and 360 days.
A verdict is expected next week.
