Hit ITV soap Coronation Street is rumoured to be following EastEnders with its own lesbian related storyline.
Factory worker Kelly Crabtree, played by Tupele Dorgu, is set to be the victim of lesbian rumours when she moves in with a long lost friend.
Similar to the film Single White Female, her character's friend, Becky, played by Katherine Kelly, becomes obsessed with her, and tries to get involved in every aspect of her life.
Work colleague, Fiz Brown, played by Jennie McAlpine, asks her, "Go on, tell us, is your mate a lesbian or what?"
A source told the Daily Star, "Becky becomes fixated with her friend and wants to be at the centre of her life, It's just like the movie Single White Female.
"It goes on from the stage of stalking to complete infatuation."
The lesbian storyline between Sonia and Naomi on EastEnders has attracted over 200 emails calls and letters of complaint.
