Little Britain gay character inspires sign thefts
The Welsh town of Llanddewi Brefi which is satirised in hit comedy Little Britain, is being targeted by thieving fans who are stealing the town's signs.
Latex wearing, Little Britain character, Dafydd is from the west Wales village, he has entertained viewers with the catchphrase, "the only gay in the village."
But now real life residents are annoyed that signs are being stolen from the town, according to the Herald Sun.
The creators of the camp comedy, David Walliams and Matt Lucas are said to have applied to register well known lines from characters in the show such as Daffyd "the only gay in the village", and Emily "I'm a lady!" Howard.
