The Police arrested these 11 homophobic people, but has since failed to arres Mrs Irish Robinson, her crime is just about the same as this one. The Police received a number of complaints for this case, Mrs Iris Robinson's crime is well recorded and was listened to by thousands of people. HRH Prince Harry has just been forced to apologise for a soft homophobic statement, but nobody forced Mrs Robinson to apologise. Where is the justice in the United Kingdom?

AndySam- regretably kids are just as likely to pick up homophobic taunting in the playground as they are at home or on the terraces. My old primary school was a hotbed for it. That's why the recent Stonewall campaign was long overdue.
As for finding the person who taught the kid to hate… I'm not even sure the kid in question would be able to answer that. I'm pretty sure he didn't start hating the moment the others started chanting… that's just herd behaviour.
I'm just glad the Police and FC appear to be taking it seriously for once.

I'm glad the FA and police are finally making inroads into homophobia in football – it's about time! It's early days yet but nevertheless reassuring that homophobic abuse is now spoken about in the same breath as racism; it may be slow and well-overdue, but this is definitely progress.

This makes it all too clear how crucial it is that schools take their duty to educate their pupils about all forms of diversity including LGBT people.
It is our job to educate so that prejudice and stereotypes are eradicated.
LGBT History Month is an ideal way to show pupils the role that LGBT played throughout the worl and throughout the centuries.
The website http://www.lgbthistorymonth.org.uk has a tool kit specially for school showing how to do it and explaining the legislation that makes it clear that schools have the responsibility to educate everyone on LGBT issues and make the school safe for all LGBT people be they parents, students staff or governors.

Doesn't surprise me, sadly. Most of the abuse I get is from teenagers. That's why I have strong feelings about people being too accepting of the word 'gay' as just a funny joke. In my opinion, something as apparently trivial as that has lead to an intolerance of gay people among some young people who you'd think would be much more tolerant.
