Gay Scottish football club celebrates Stonewall award nomination
HotScots FC has been nominated for Sports Award of the Year at the annual Stonewall awards. The team, which is LGBT-friendly, will rub shoulders with fellow nominees including Paul O’Grady, Boyzone and Beth Ditto on November 5th at London's V&A Museum.

Stonewall Awards to be held at VA
Gay equality organisation Stonewall has announced that its second annual awards ceremony will be held on November 1st at the Victoria Albert Museum in London.
They will be presented by Doctor Who and Any Dream Will Do star John Barrowman, who won Entertainer of the Year at last year's ceremony.

Sony's gay label to feature lesbian pin-up
Beth Ditto's band The Gossip have signed to Sony's new gay music label.
Music With A Twist is a subsidiary of Sony Music Label Group/Columbia Records, and is designed to "identify and develop lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gendered artists".
The lesbian icon's band's hit single "Standing in the Way of Control" will appear on the label's compilation album entitled Twist Revolutions , due for release on 17th April.
Lesbian rocker tops Cool List
A lesbian punk rocker has topped a 'Cool List' of music icons.
Beth Ditto, the larger than life lead singer of US band Gossip, beat big names such as Lily Allen, Jarvis Cocker and Liam Gallagher to become the first woman to top music magazine NME's Cool List.
Ditto is an outspoken advocate for gay rights and has used her songs to back gay marriage legislation in the US.
