1:44 PM — Welsh rugby team have issued an undisclosed fine to the 21-year-old wing for describing a Big Brother contestant as a "faggot". The player has apologised for the statement, saying he had "learnt the hard way to think before tweeting".

The 45-year-old athlete, known as the Flying Scotsman, revealed in January that he is gay and said he had twice to kill himself over his struggle to accept his sexual orientation.
