Online gay museum opens for business
1:59 PM — Museum professionals have feted the launch of the online national LGBT museum Proud Heritage. The website has its first working day open to the public today. Plans for a physical museum were discussed at the Stonewall hustings for the candidates for Mayor of London on Saturday.

12:12 PM — Gay and lesbian people and their friends have been signing up for a major gay day out in Brighton during the May bank holiday. The 5th Annual Equality Walk is a demonstration of solidarity against hate crime.
SATC star reveals fight with breast cancer
10:20 AM — Actress Cynthia Nixon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and underwent radiation treatment to treat the disease, the Sex and the City star revealed on Tuesday Appearing on Good Morning America. 42-year-old Nixon said she was not surprised by the diagnosis because her mother had battled breast cancer as well.

Royal took drugs, court told
4:08 AM — The Old Bailey was told yesterday that the Royal at the centre of a gay sex blackmail plot took drugs. The court also heard a comparision to a Royal aide and the BBC Are You Being Served character Mr Humphries. The Royal can't be named due to a court order.

TV duo become civil partners in Chelsea ceremony 10
3:20 PM — Interior designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan have become civil partners. The Channel Five stars held a secret ceremony in London last month.Details of their nuptials at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London on February 15th have only come to light now.They first announced their intention to 'tie the knot' in January 2007. Commenting on the delay Mr Ryan, 41, said: "For some reason, we have never got round to making it legal."
Brothers and Sisters actor confirms he is gay 1
10:20 AM — Canadian actor Luke MacFarlane, who plays the character of Scotty on Brothers and Sisters, has come out in an interview with the Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail.Explaining his decision after years of speculation in the press regarding his sexuality he said:"I don't know what will happen professionally ... that is the fear, but I guess I can't really be concerned about what will happen, because it's my truth."

Ken claims multiculturalism as “great achievement” 1
2:20 PM — At the launch of his community relations manifesto today the incumbent Mayor of London made a strong defence of multiculturalism, which he called "one of the greatest achievements of my administration." Ken Livingstone, who as the Labour candidate is seeking a third term in office, made no mention of the gay and lesbian community in his comments."I will continue to develop the positive celebration of London's diversity, he said.

Serb President guarantees Eurovision safety 3
4:40 PM — An official at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has revealed that they have been given "a guarantee for the safety of delegations, press and fans issued by the President of Serbia," covering this year's Eurovision contest in Belgrade.Human rights activists have raised concerns that Western fans visiting Serbia will be targeted by fascist elements in the country.Gay men are a particular target, according to the president of the fascist organisation Obraz.
Brighton scene mag to go national
1:02 PM — 3SIXTY magazine, one of the mainstays of the gay scene in southern England, is to expand its distribution area.From May 1st the glossy A4 monthly will become a national gay news, lifestyle and scene magazine.3SIXTY, which is monthly, is now in its sixth year of publication and already claims a readership of 60,000. It is popular in its base city of Brighton and Hove and the south of England.
