11:48 AM — Readers of gay magazine Attitude have expressed concern that the January edition is yet to appear.The gay glossy should have hit the streets before the New Year and is now two weeks overdue.Mr Bob Flood, from Exeter, contacted PinkNews.co.uk wanting to know if we had any news.

4:23 PM — BBC Television Centre, the iconic West London building that for 50 years has been the embodiment of the Corporation in the eyes of viewers, may close as part of a cost-cutting exercise.The BBC's desire to move production of children's programming, sport and other departments to Manchester could sound the death knell for the Wood Green studios.Corporation bosses are considering closing Television Centre and selling the 13-acre site.
Gay penguins to stay on library shelves 3
3:02 PM — A children's book featuring a young penguin and his two male parents has been returned to school libraries in North Carolina.The saga of And Tango Makes Three made headlines across the world.After queries from a handful of parents, fearful that the book was promoting homosexuality, staff members took copies off the shelves.

11:06 AM — Penelope Cruz has reacted to speculation that her close relationship with fellow actress Salma Hayek is more than just platonic.During an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, the Spanish film star, who used to be romantically involved with Tom Cruise, spoke about reports of a gay relationship with Hayek.Rumours had been fuelled by a raunchy photoshoot the two actresses did for US magazine Interview.
Colin and Justin set a date for civil ceremony 11

The Channel Five stars revealed their plans to LondonLite newspaper yesterday.The duo have become household names with programmes like Million Pound Property Experiment and How Not To Decorate. Justin, 38, revealed that they plan to have the ceremony in March.

George Michael pleads not guilty
3:41 PM — Pop icon George Michael's lawyer has entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of being unfit to drive at Brent Magistrates Court in north west London.The singer, who recently completed a sell-out European tour, was not in court. A further hearing has been set for 7th March.The charge arises from an incident last October.

11:18 AM — Pop icon George Michael will face charges of being unfit to drive today, following an incident last October when he was found by police in his car in Cricklewood, north London, allegedly passed out.It is not thought that Michael, 43, will appear in person before magistrates in Brent north west London, and his lawyers are expected to enter a plea in his absence.
Supermodel Salvail comes out as a lesbian 1
11:05 AM — Eve Salvail has confirmed in a TV interview that she is a lesbian. Speaking on the talk show of fellow supermodel Tyra Banks, the 33-year-old has up until now refused to discuss her sexuality in public.The Canadian model is famous for shaving her head, the first supermodel to do so. She was one of the top models of the 1990s and appeared as herself in the late Robert Altman's movie about the fashion industry, Pret A Porter.
Mrs Ashley Cole attacks “ridiculous” rumours 1
10:30 AM — Pop star Cheryl Cole has hit out at football supporters and others who have questioned the sexuality of her husband Ashley.The Girls Aloud singer also revealed that Cole is accosted by strangers in the street asking him if he is gay, and that the speculation about her partner upsets her.The 23-year-old was known as Cheryl Tweedy until her marriage to the Chelsea player last year.

X-Men star’s civil partnership ceremony
3:51 PM — Actor and gay rights activist Alan Cumming 'married' his boyfriend of two years in a ceremony in London yesterday.His new civil partner is American illustrator Grant Shaffer. Guests at the ceremony included folk singer Rufus Wainwright and actress Mary-Elizabeth Mastrantonio.E! Online reports that Cumming wore a black shirt and tie with an oatmeal-coloured linen suit, which Shaffer a black striped suit with a shirt and tie.

Gordon Ramsay 50th most popular gay icon 4
1:44 PM — Foul-mouthed footballer-turned-chef Gordon Ramsay has come bottom of a poll of 5,000 gay men and lesbians asked to name a gay icon.The swaggeringly heterosexual Ramsay, a former Scotland international, has a minority appeal to some gay men.Australian singer Kylie Minogue came first in the survey, conducted by market research company OnePoll.com
Panto in aid of gay rights campaigners
11:33 AM — London Frontrunners, the gay and lesbian running club, will present a one-off special performance of its pantomime Cinders and the Panto Pride Run on 21 January 2007 at the Black Cap in Camden, in aid of Stonewall.The show was first seen at Clapham's The Two Brewers in December.The pantomime's writers, Jon Bradfield and Martin Hooper, told PinkNews.co.uk "There are so many fairytales. But there aren't any gay ones yet - the coming out story is the closest we have. So we thought about creating our own."
Prison Break star quashes gay rumours
11:11 AM — The star of hit TV show Prison Break has responded to rumours he is gay.Wentworth Miller has built up a huge following in the gay community after coming to prominence playing the role of Michael Scofield.Miller, who was born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, is quoted by WENN as stating, "No, I'm not gay. I know these rumours are out there...I'm cool with the fact that they exist, I mean this is about fantasy."

32% of LGBT net users online more than 24 hours a week 57
4:55 PM — A recent survey of internet use in the USA has shown that gays, lesbians and bisexuals are online more often than their straight counterparts.The study also revealed that sites like youtube.com, MySpace and Friendster are more popular with LGBT surfers than with heteros.Excluding email, nearly twice as many gays and lesbians (32%) say they are online between 24 and 168 hours per week, compared to 18 percent of heterosexuals.

5:13 PM — Tonight, BBC2 will be showing a programme that many viewers have been waiting a decade for.Cult hit drama This Life featured what many consider to be the one of the most influential gay characters in the history of television.Writer Amy Jenkins has returned to the lives of Egg, Milly, Anna, Miles and most importantly Warren, ten years after the series began.
Russian New Years Eve nets George Michael £1.5m
5:13 PM — Pop icon George Michael has rounded off a triumphant European tour with a performance at a private function in Moscow on Sunday night, and came away £1.5m richer.The singer, who has had a turbulent 2006, saw in the New Year in the company of 300 guests of an un-named Russian billionaire, peforming an hour-long concert at the oligarch's mansion near Moscow.Michael's huge pay packet outstrips the £1m that American diva Christina Aguilera allegedly received for performing at the wedding of another rich Russian in September 2005.
Steps star comes out before entering Celeb Big Brother 2
5:13 PM — Ian Watkins, a former member of Steps, has revealed that he is gay. The 30-year-old Welshman, better known as H, is taking part in this year's Celebrity Big Brother, which begins tonight on Channel 4.Watkins, a former Butlins redcoat, also revealed that he had a ten-year relationship with the band's manager, Tim Byrne, which ended recently.In an allusion to the Little Britain character of Daffyd, he told The Sun, "I come from a small valley in Wales and it just wasn't the thing to do to be gay. It's a bit of a cliche — but I was the only gay in the village."

9:18 AM — Troubled pop icon George Michael has been formally charged following an incident last year when he was found by police in his car in Cricklewood, north London, allegedly passed out.Members of the public had called the police in the early hours of October 1st to deal with a Mercedes Benz S-Class car which was obstructing traffic lights.Michael was found at the wheel semi-conscious, taken to hospital and then arrested for suspected possession of drugs.

Elton John’s birthday venue closing
12:00 AM — A venue which has played host to gay stars such as Elton John is facing closure, according to reports.The Hammersmith Palais is to be demolished after 90 years and turned into offices and a restaurant, a far cry from the days where it would hold wartime tea parties or Sir Elton's 50th birthday bash.
