Brighton scene mag to go national
1:02 PM — 3SIXTY magazine, one of the mainstays of the gay scene in southern England, is to expand its distribution area.From May 1st the glossy A4 monthly will become a national gay news, lifestyle and scene magazine.3SIXTY, which is monthly, is now in its sixth year of publication and already claims a readership of 60,000. It is popular in its base city of Brighton and Hove and the south of England.
Ken releases list of celeb supporters 2
11:15 AM — The Mayor of London Ken Livingstone has compiled a list of actors, entertainers and celebrities who support his campaign for a third term in office. Among his backers are Blur frontman Damon Albarn, comedians Bill Bailey and Jo Brand, artists Anthony Gormley and Banksy.

Gay Jesus and Apostles removed from cathedral exhibition 3
11:45 AM — A work of art by one of Vienna's most celebrated artists has been taken down after offending members of the Catholic community.The painting is part of a large collection of works that depict Jesus and his disciples engaging in homosexual acts.To celebrate the 80th birthday of artist Alfred Hrdlicka, the gallery attached to St. Stephen's Catholic Cathedral decided to put on a retrospective of the artists work.

Death of screen icon who opposed gay equality
11:50 AM — Legendary actor Charlton Heston died on Saturday at the age of 83.The iconic actor of such films as Ben Hur and Soylent Green died at his home in Beverly Hills with his wife, Lydia Clarke Heston, by his side.Heston is survived by son Fraser Clarke Heston, daughter Holly Ann Heston, and three grandchildren.Heston's family released a statement on Saturday confirming the actor's death.

Manchester gay foundation to auction off lesbians 1

In the The Advocate, Thomas Beatie wrote a guest column about his extraordinary experience.

11:30 AM — An Irish poet accused of sexually exploiting young men in Nepal has given an interview.Speaking on the Irish language station Raidio na Gaeltachta, Cathal O'Searcaigh said he was the victim of a biased documentary, but admitted sexual contact with some of the young men he was finanically aiding.Speaking about the storm of criticism he has faced from the Irish media, he compared himself to Irish playwright Oscar Wilde.

Met Police criticised for allowing gay hate concert 4
5:30 PM — The Metropolitan Police have allowed a concert by artist Bounty Killer to go ahead, despite his lyrics inciting homophobic hatred and violence.The Jamaican reggae and dancehall DJ, born Rodney Basil Price, has already had two concerts cancelled in Bradford and Birmingham following protests by the gay human rights group Outrage!The Met have previously stated that artists would not be allowed to perform unless they sign the Reggae Compassionate Act (RCA).

12:05 PM — A church is not the sort of place one would expect to find a celebration of male sexuality.But next month, St Pancras Church Crypt will play host to the 'Reverie' exhibition by London artist Charlie Pi, showcasing his interpretation of masculinity and sex.Known for his paintings of the black male form, the Deptford-based artist will premiere a selection of 50 new oil paintings of black male iconography displayed on unconventional canvases, such as old table tops and bread boards.

Tributes paid to legendary gay DJ
3:02 PM — One of London's best known scene figures has died. DJ Tallulah had been a club DJ for forty years and was a regular at Heaven.Born in 1948 in Hamburg to English parents, he returned to live with his grandmother in Bexley three years later.He immersed himself in London's underground gay scene as a teenager, and by the early 1970s was established as a leading DJ. In 2007 he became the first inductee into the House Of Homosexual Culture's Hall Of Fame.
