2:29 PM — The editor of gay Muslim magazine Huriyah has released a book about LGBT people in the Islamic World. Afdhere Jama's book 'Illegal Citizens: Queer lives in the Muslim world' follows the lives of 33 people in 22 countries including Nigeria, Lebanon, Indonesia, Bosnia, China, India, Israel, and Ukraine.
McKellen and Callow strike out at anti-gay bishop 11
12:51 PM — Sir Ian McKellen and Simon Callow, two of the UK's most prominent gay actors, have spoken out against Bishop Joseph Devine. Devine, on of Scotlands most prominent clergymen, expressed his disproval of McKellan's recent honour from the Queen in a controversial speech to St. Aloysius College in Glasgow earlier this year.
