    12:05 PM — Serbian police have arrested six suspected anti-gay extremists in connection with attempts to disrupt a Pride march. The march, which was to be held yesterday in Belgrade, was cancelled by police over fears of mass violence.

    4:59 PM — A man who trawled Gaydar to find victims to steal from has been jailed for four years and three months. Mark Andrew Bishop, 37, of no fixed abode, stole £300,000 from one of his nine known victims, although police say he may have targeted many more men.

    1:16 PM — A jury in Lincolnshire is considering the case of a teenager accused of killing a gay man. Aiden Jackson, 18, denies murder but admits manslaughter and claims he attacked 67-year-old David Cowley because he was "disgusted" by the older man's sexual advances.

    11:15 AM — A man convicted for the second time of killing a transgender woman has had his original sentence upheld. Leon Fyle, 23, will serve 21 years for killing 29-year-old Destiny Lauren at her flat in Kentish Town, London, in 2009.

    1:35 PM — Police in Edinburgh are seeking a gang who broke a man's jaw during a homophobic attack early on Saturday morning. The victim, 20, had just left the GHQ nightclub when he passed a group of four men and one woman on Broughton Street at 2.30am.

    10:42 AM — A Christian street preacher has appeared in court charged with verbally abusing a gay couple. Michael Overd, 47, from Creech St Michael in Somerset, allegedly told the men that they were "evil" and would "burn in hell".

    3:12 PM — New York police are considering charging a number of students over the suicide of a 14-year-old boy. Jamey Rodemeyer, a student at Williamsville North High School, killed himself last Sunday after suffering years of anti-gay bullying.

  • Man found guilty in retrial over transgender woman’s murder 10

    12:49 PM — A London man has been found guilty for a second time of murdering a transgender woman. Leon Fyle, of Catford, was convicted of the murder of Destiny Lauren last September and sentenced to 21 years in prison but the Court of Appeal ruled his original conviction was “unsafe".

    1:55 PM — Two men from Melton, Leicestershire, have been jailed for attacking and robbing a gay man. Andrew Davis, 42, and Jonathan Huckerby, 21, were jailed for eight and five years respectively for inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and theft.

    4:48 PM — Police have released CCTV footage of a vicious homophobic attack on two men in Charing Cross, London. The film shows the victims, aged 22 and 25, walking in the direction of Tottenham Court Road at around 1.30am on August 9th.

    11:30 AM — A Lincolnshire teenager accused of murdering a pensioner says he lashed out because the older man came on to him. Aiden Jackson, is accused of murdering David Cowley, 67, at Sleaford Rail Station in November last year.

    10:57 AM — A gay policeman who won Mr Gay UK has had the last of a series of charges against him dropped. PC Mark Carter, from Birkenshaw, was cleared in June of three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.

    10:30 AM — Police in Edinburgh are investigating after a man died suddenly during a visit to the city's most popular gay sauna. The man, in his sixties, was visiting the Number 18 sauna on Leith Walk and was rushed to hospital after being given CPR.

    Three gay men have been attacked in Utah in the last fortnight

    5:08 PM — Three gay men have been been attacked in the US state of Utah in the last two weeks. Early on Thursday morning, 32-year-old Cameron Nelson was attacked in American Fork as he took out rubbish at a hair salon.

    4:19 PM — Two of the nine suspects accused of murdering a South African lesbian have been released. Zoliswa Nkonyana, 19, was stoned and stabbed to death after a night out in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on February 4th 2006.

  • Teenager jailed for car-jacking at gay cruising spot 11

    3:30 PM — A 19-year-old man has been jailed for five years for car-jacking a man at a gay cruising spot. Lewis Harding, of Kingshurst, West Midlands, was arrested when he was seen driving the vehicle the following day.

    3:02 PM — A man who accused X Factor judge Louis Walsh of sexual assault has been charged with making false claims. Leonard Watters, 24, initially claimed that 58-year-old Walsh had groped him at the Krystle nightclub in Dublin after a Westlife concert in June.
