    2:47 PM — The city council of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has passed a measure calling for an annual Heterosexual Pride Day to be celebrated each December. City alderman Carlos Apolinario, who authored the legislation, said the idea is "not anti-gay but a protest against the privileges the gay community enjoys".

The band, comprising friends Craig Saggers and Josef Al-Smadi, were due to play Liverpool, Swindon and Cotswold Pride festivals on Saturday, leaving fans wondering whether they would be able to make each event.

Joan Parker, who attended last Saturday's event with her husband, says she kissed the preacher on the cheek while he screamed that gay people would go to hell.
