Manchester Pride begins with Fringe festival 4
5:13 PM — Manchester Pride 2010 began today with a Fringe festival of comedy, art, theatre and sport. More than 40 events will be held in 20 venues ahead of the Big Weekend, which starts next Friday.

4:59 PM — After a PinkNews.co.uk poll showed high support for opening up civil marriage to gay couples, we asked UK gay rights groups to set out their views on the issue. Eight accepted our invitation, but Stonewall, Britain's largest LGB charity declined to take part and clarify their stance on the issue.
Police appeal after toilet fire at Brighton Pride 3
3:22 PM — An arson attack on portable toilets at Brighton Pride caused £30,000 worth of damage. The fire was started at the block of toilets at the north side of the park near Preston Park Avenue at around 10pm on Saturday August 7th.

Graham Norton to host Manchester Pride fundraising dinner 2

4:20 PM — The day began with a march through the city centre. As the groups taking part assembled outside St George’s Hall, the noise and excitement grew. Everything from samba dancers to trade union groups to drummers were impatiently waiting for the festivities to formally begin.
