SATC star reveals fight with breast cancer + Actress Cynthia Nixon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and underwent radiation treatment to treat the disease, the Sex and the City star revealed on Tuesday Appearing on Good Morning America. 42-year-old Nixon said she was not surprised by the diagnosis because her mother had battled breast cancer as well.

Death of screen icon who opposed gay equality + Legendary actor Charlton Heston died on Saturday at the age of 83.The iconic actor of such films as Ben Hur and Soylent Green died at his home in Beverly Hills with his wife, Lydia Clarke Heston, by his side.Heston is survived by son Fraser Clarke Heston, daughter Holly Ann Heston, and three grandchildren.Heston's family released a statement on Saturday confirming the actor's death.

Pregnant trans man talks to Oprah 3 Thomas Beatie, a transgender man from Portland, Oregon who revealed he is pregnant in the latest issue of The Advocate, will make his first television appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show today.The 'pregnant man', as he has been labelled in the press, will speak about his decision to carry a child when his wife was unable to conceive. Obama and Clinton supporters attracted by McCain + A surprising number of supporters of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton would throw their votes to Republican John McCain if their candidate does not become the Democratic Presidential nominee, according to a new Gallup poll released yesterday.While only 19 percent of Obama supporters said they would vote for McCain over Clinton, 28 percent of Clinton supporters would switch their vote to the Republican nominee.

Pregnant trans man speaks out against medical discrimination 3 Thomas Beatie, a transgendered man from Portland, Oregon, has revealed he is pregnant in the latest issue of The Advocate.Beatie, who transitioned from female to male, said he has faced discrimination from doctors and healthcare providers over the pregnancy.During his transition, Beatie decided not to remove his reproductive organs and stopped taking testosterone injections so he could become pregnant.

Clinton pushes for Florida and Michigan votes to be counted 1 New York Senator Hillary Clinton is calling on the Democratic National Committee to either seat delegates from Florida and Michigan or hold new primaries in the states.Both states were stripped of delegates for moving their primaries up on this year's election calendar.DNC chairman Howard Dean is in favour of holding new primaries, but says the party will not pay for them. Barack Obama's campaign has concerns, however, about proposed mail-in caucuses.

Gene Robinson has announced he will not officially participate in a planned summer conference of world Anglican leaders.He declined an invitation to events at the once-a-decade Lambeth conference this summer because of restrictions organisers placed on him if he were to appear.Robinson said the limited offer caused him "considerable pain" and he would reject the "non-offer" to be part of the conference.

Pro-gay Governor of New York in prostitution scandal 1 New York Democratic Governor Eliot Spitzer has been tied to a prostitution ring after a federal investigation revealed he was recorded on a wiretap arranging to meet with a prostitute.Identified as Client 9 at the Emperors Club VIP escort service, Spitzer was recorded confirming plans to fly a prostitute from New York to Washington to meet him at a hotel.According to the New York Times, court documents stated Client 9 arranged to meet with an Emperors Club VIP prostitute on February 13th in Washington DC.
