3:37 PM — Spirit Bar in Canal Street was packed to its 650-person capacity last night as the Conservative Party held its first-ever official gay event. As the Tory-themed cocktails flowed, there was much speculation at the absence of Stonewall chief Ben Summerskill.

Gay MP Adam Price will not stand at next election 3
6:16 PM — Openly gay Plaid Cymru MP Adam Price has confirmed that he will be stepping down at the next election. Price, who came 37th in this years poll of most influential LGBT people in politics, announced in a statement today that he intends to take up a year-long Fulbright scholarship in the United States.

London Pride first as army permitted to wear uniform 1
11:09 AM — The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) today welcomed the Ministry of Defence's decision to permit uniformed Army personnel to march in this year's pride celebrations. The event, which will take place on July 5th, will be the first time that all three strands of the military are allowed to march in uniform.
