British gay policeman victim of homophobic attack in Slovenia 59
1:47 PM — A British gay policeman was savagely attacked in a homophobic incident in Slovenia it has been reported. Oliver McNally was in the capital Ljubljana with straight friends on a stag party but fell out with anti-gay revellers in a nightclub after what has only been described as an 'encounter' who later attacked him with metal police-style batons.

1:16 PM — Russian police have arrested and charged up to 14 LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) activists who were attempting to hold a demonstration in St Petersburg.
New York Senate due to vote on gay marriage bill 30
2:11 AM — Republicans in the New York Senate agreed late last night (Friday) to allow a full vote to make gay marriage legal. A vote is expected in the early hours of Saturday morning (UK time).

12:01 PM — Two of the leading members of Barcelona's LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) community have claimed that they were subjected to humiliating security checks while trying to fly home to Spain from Israel's Ben Gurion Airport. Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticised the actions by airport security staff.

6:38 PM — A US federal judge in Seattle has ruled ruled that the north American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) can continue to limit the number of straight players that can play in each team participating in the Gay Softball World Series it sponsors. But, he has also allowed a lawsuit brought by three bisexuals to go to trial.
