Hong Kong trans woman barred from marrying boyfriend 4
11:00 AM — A trans woman in Hong Kong has been barred from marrying her boyfriend. The woman, known only as 'W', was born male and transitioned several years ago. However, she is barred under city law from changing her birth certificate to female, meaning she has been unable to marry.

Megachurch pastor accused of seducing young men says faith has been strengthened
5:25 PM — Eddie Long, the American megachurch pastor accused of seducing young men, says his faith has been strengthened. In his second Sunday sermon since the allegations broke, the Atlanta pastor made no explicit reference to the four lawsuits against him.

5:13 PM — Labour's chief whip, Nick Brown, has resigned at the request of new leader Ed Miliband. Mr Brown, who was one of three gay cabinet ministers before Labour lost the election, withdrew from the race today to keep his job.
21 years in jail for man who killed London trans woman 2
4:09 PM — A man convicted of killing trans woman Destiny Lauren has been sentenced to at least 21 years in prison. Leon Fyle, 22, was found guilty of Ms Lauren's murder last month.
Lesbian mother wins legal battle over child support 8
1:33 PM — A lesbian who had to pay more child support than if she was in a heterosexual relationship has won her case at the European Court of Human Rights. She was awarded £2,550 in damages and £15,275 after the court ruled that she had been discriminated against.

Judge rules sacked lesbian flight nurse should be reinstated
4:25 PM — A flight nurse sacked under Don't Ask, Don't Tell should be reinstated, a federal judge has ruled. Former Major Margaret Witt was sacked in 2007 after 19 years of service in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves.
Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson ‘relieved’ at coming out 12
2:41 PM — Kieron Richardson, the actor who plays Ste Hay in Hollyoaks, has said he is relived to have announced he is gay. The 24-year-old came out on This Morning earlier this month.
Police detain gay cruisers in Beijing 9
11:33 AM — Dozens of gay men have been detained at an outdoor cruising site in Beijing, China. According to AFP, a gay rights campaigner claimed that more than 80 men at a forested pick-up spot in Mudanyuan, to the north of the city, on Sunday and Monday.

Anti-gay pastor Eddie Long vows to ‘fight’ gay sex claims
10:58 AM — Eddie Long, the anti-gay leader of one of America's largest church congregations, has said he will fight allegations he coerced young men in his flock to have sex with him. Last week, three young men filed lawsuits alleging that Mr Long gave them money, cars and holidays in return for massages, oral sex and masturbation.

7:14 PM — London's gay art and culture festival GFEST has announced its programme for this year. The event will be held across venues in London between November 8th-21st and is now in its fourth year.
Lady Gaga to join gay rights protest 7
3:43 PM — Lady Gaga will join a protest in Maine against the ban on out gay soldiers in the US military. A spokesman from the Servicemembers Legal Defence Network said the bisexual singer would join LGBT veterans at the event today in Portland.
AA Gill nominated for Stonewall’s ‘Bigot of the Year’ award 24

Missing Russian gay rights campaigner ‘in Minsk’ 4
8:28 PM — Nikolai Alekseev, the Russian gay rights campaigner who was arrested at an airport in Moscow yesterday, is believed to be in Minsk. Mr Alekseev, who is unpopular with Russian authorities for attempting to hold Pride marches, was arrested by border control police yesterday at Domodedovo airport after passing through passport control.

Lady Gaga ‘training’ to become a minister to perform gay marriages 9
8:51 AM — Popstar Lady GaGa is reportedly training to become an ordained minister in order to perform gay marriages for her LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) fans. According to British tabloid, the Daily Star, the bisexual singer has been spurred on by the continuing row over gay marriages in California.

7:00 PM — A study has found that one third of gay and bisexual men diagnosed with HIV show signs of post-traumatic stress disorder. Researchers were surprised to find that starting HIV medication was the strongest trigger for PTSD.
