US Congress ‘lags behind’ public on marriage equality 6
10:13 PM — Research suggests that US Congress members lags behind the public on marriage equality. According to a database compiled by Human Rights Campaign, only 34 per cent of Congress supports marriage equality, compared to polls which suggest more than 50 per cent of Americans back the rights of gay couples to marry.
Dallas gay couple stage second marriage protest
10:08 PM — A gay couple in Dallas, Texas, have staged a second sit-in protest over marriage equality. On July 6th, Mark Jiminez and Beau Chandler were led from the Dallas County Clerk Records Building in handcuffs when they refused to leave after being denied a marriage licence.

Leader of ‘reparative therapy’ group Exodus says gays can’t be cured 33
11:00 PM — The leader of global 'gay cure' church Exodus International has declared that gays cannot be turned straight and that so-called 'reparative therapy' may be dangerous. Exodus president Alan Chambers is said to have shocked the 'ex-gay' movement with his volte-face and is facing accusations of heresy.

8:30 PM — Brad Pitt's mother has written a letter to a Missouri newspaper attacking Barack Obama on his support for marriage equality. Jane Pitt wrote to the Springfield News-Leader to say Christians should back Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who is against abortion and same-sex marriage.

The video imagines a society where blond people, people with blue eyes, bald people, short people and older people faced discrimination or persecution by society and the state.
