Gay Twins Win Sexual Harassment Lawsuit
Jed and Wyatt Lorenzen, openly gay twins who were hired as servers by Los Feliz restaurant Vermont in 2005, today won their sexual harassment suit against the eatery’s owners, another pair of openly gay men, Manuel Mesta and Michael Gelzhiser. Following a nine-day trial, each of the twins was awarded a paltry $1,000 for damages, begging the question of whether anyone really came out of the suit a winner.
In interviews the twins have claimed that Jed was fired from his waitstaff position for turning down sexual advances, while Wyatt was forced to abandon his job when the instances of sexual harassment had gone too far. They claim that the harassment went on repeatedly for more than a year, consisting of not only sexually explicit language but inappropriate touching during a restaurant Halloween party. MORE

Canadian gay couple shares adoption success story
BurlingtonPost.com says Yo Mustafa and Paul Groulx “went from zero to three children in a matter of six months”. The couple, which has been together since 1989, now cares for three boys including a 13-year old and 11-year-old twins.
Mustafa and Grouix started their adoption journey in July 2003 by attending an Adoption Council of Ontario information evening.
The sons were neglected by their biological parents and eventually placed into the care of Children’s Aid. At the time, the older boy was six years old and the twins 3-1/2. They were in foster care two years.

Ricky Martin shows off his babies
From today’s Miami Herald People column:
Oh, Ricky, they’re so fine.
Twins Matteo and Valentino, we mean.
Born via surrogate in August, Ricky Martin‘s 4-month-olds make their mini debut in this week’s People and People en EspaƱol, on newsstands Friday.
The Puerto Rican singer, 36, opened up to the mag about the experience.
”Being a father feels amazing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life,” says Martin, who doesn’t use a nanny.
“I’m the one who changes the diapers, the one that feeds them, the one that bathes them, the one that puts them to sleep.”
Why a surrogate mom?
”Adoption was one option, but it’s complicated and can take a long time.” Surrogacy was “intriguing and faster.”
