American Idol alum Sanjaya Malakar says despite what people may say, he isn’t gay.
“Like, yeah, a lot of people want me to be their gay best friend, and I make a really good gay best friend. But I don’t like guys, so it confuses people,” Sanjaya said on Tuesday’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Sanjaya’s sexuality came up after jungle-mate Janice Dickinson asked him to put guy-liner on, and he obliged.

Court: Fla. must recognize states’ gay adoptions
Florida must recognize gay couples’ adoptions that were granted in other states even though its laws bar granting such adoptions, a state appeals court ruled Wednesday.
A trial court erred when it wouldn’t recognize a former lesbian couple’s adoptions that had been completed when the women lived in Washington state, the 2nd District Court of Appeal ruled unanimously. Florida is the only state that prohibits all gays from adopting, but the judges said the U.S. Constitution requires it to give “full faith and credit” to the actions of other states.

The few, the proud, the gay Republicans?
Now that Iowa has come out of the closet, it’s a no-brainer that gay Republicans would launch a new political organization.
That’s right, it’s called GOProud, and it promises a traditional conservative agenda (except for being, uh, homosexual, I presume). Some of those agenda issues are to repeal inheritance taxes, fight against global extremists, and defend gun rights.
Sounds like, say, Ronald Reagan would feel quite at home in this group if he was, well, gay, and, well, alive.

Craigslist Killer a Gay, Serial Killer?
Accused CraigsList killer Philip Markoff is in deeper trouble by the day, it seems, and police are investigating the possibility that Markoff is a serial killer.
Markoff, who is accused of murdering aspiring model Julissa Brisman and committing several other assaults on female Craigslist users, may have murdered others in his ‘double life’ as a criminal.
Markoff also might be a homosexual after allegedly requesting the services of gay men via Craigslist.com. The National Enquirer reports:

Wainwright Plays Down ‘Anti-Gay Marriage’ Comments
Gay singer Rufus Wainwright has denied he refuses to campaign for same-sex marriage - insisting his comments published in a recent interview were “taken out of context”.
Wainwright came under fire from gay rights advocates for quotes
in a New York publication in which the star stated he was “not a huge supporter of gay marriage”.
The singer has reportedly refused to become involved with marching and protesting against the recent passing of Proposition 8 in California - which reversed a previous law permitting same-sex unions.
But Wainwright states he didn’t mean to make a stand against gay marriage - insisting he meant he wouldn’t want to take legally binding vows himself.
He says, “Recently, a quote from an interview was taken out of context and as these things go, it has appeared on many internet sites. So, to set the record straight (or shall we say gay?), I am not nor have I ever been opposed to anyone’s right to marry - straight or gay.
