Homosexuals Are “On Their Way to Hell” says Pat Robertson
Pat Robertson has dammned homosexuals to hell, claimed the majority of homosexuals were turned to that lifestyle due to an abusive relationship, and called homosexuality an “abomination of God”…all in one minute and 37 seconds.
Speaking on The 700 Club today, Robertson was responding to a question posed by a mother who was asking for help on “how to handle” her homosexual son: See Homosexuals Are “On Their Way to Hell” says Pat Robertson
TERRY MEEUWSEN (co-host): This is Theresa. This is difficult. She says, “How should we, as parents of a homosexual son, handle the ongoing challenges facing us, such as staying true to our faith and following the commandment to ‘love your neighbor as yourself’? This is very difficult for us.”
ROBERTSON: Well, first of all, he’s not your neighbor. He’s your son; that’s a different thing. You owe him, you know, advice and counsel and guidance. You’re his parent. First of all, you didn’t say how old he is. Secondly, I am not at all persuaded that so-called homosexuals are homosexuals because of biological problems. There may be a very few, but there are so many that have been made homosexuals because of a coach or a guidance counselor or some other male figure who has abused them and they think there’s something wrong with their sexuality. So you need to get deep into why he is what he is, instead of just saying, “Well, he’s a homosexual so how do I handle him, and how do I be Christian?” Well, I think you ought to tell him, “Listen, son, you know, here’s what the Bible says about this, and it’s called an abomination before God, so I’ve got to tell you the truth because I love you.” That’s what I think. All right, what else?
MEEUWSEN: And then you do that — you love him.
ROBERTSON: You love him. Of course you love him. And you accept him. You love him, but at the same time, you can’t let him just go, you know, he’ll wind up –
MEEUWSEN: Without knowing truth, yeah.
ROBERTSON: Well, I mean, if somebody’s on their way to hell, they’ll — I mean, you’ve got to love them to rescue them.
Instead of calling her son an “abomination of God” as Robertson would suggest, maybe “Theresa” should love and appreciate her son, regardless of his sexual orientation.

On Friday’s episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show when Oprah was introducing the world to her new cocker spaniel puppy, Sadie, Oprah’s best friend Gayle King had a revelation of her own: her 14 year-old brown cocker spaniel Spencer is gay. Specifically, King said that her dog was “gay and deaf.”
“How do you know that your dog’s gay?” asked guest co-host Mark Consuelos, looking puzzled.
“He’s very girly,” explained King. “He’s very, very girly. There’s no doubt.”
“And we mean that in the best way,” Oprah added.

Rachel Maddow On “The View”: Gets Praise From Hasselbeck, Talks Coming Out
Maddow — who, at 5’11″, was described by Joy Behar as “a tall lesbian” — spoke, as she often does, about not being a typical “TV news babe.” She discussed the first time she met her partner, Susan Mikula — like a scene from “Gay Desperate Housewives” — and how she came out: by plastering an announcement all over the dorm bathrooms at Stanford, without telling her parents (who received an anonymous letter alerting them to the news and “did not react well”).
Maddow also described her look as a tomboy growing up.
“I had long blonde hair, but even as a little girl with long blonde hair, I looked like one of the Hanson boys,” she said.
Maddow discussed her hate mail — of which there’s a steady stream, some targeting her sexuality — but she also received an unlikely compliment from conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Kathy Griffin’s Gay Dig Hits CNN’s Anderson Cooper – Too Close to Home? (See Video)
It looks like there might be a job opening soon over at CNN. The bonehead who hired comedian Kathy Griffin could be facing the ax after her embarrassing performance as a co-host for CNN’s New Year’s Eve telecast with Anderson Cooper.
Griffin, who is known for her salty comedy act and spontaneous outbursts of off-color humor, was true to form. At the close of one segment, she made a particularly obscene remark, supposedly to an off-camera heckler that went out over the airwaves. But, wait, was she really channeling Cooper?
Griffin and Cooper were co-hosting the CNN special telecast of New Year’s Eve on Times Square. The “My Life on the D-List” star got into hot water after the ball drop, but while the telecast was still on the air. It’s unclear from the clip exactly who Griffin was talking to. WATCH: Melissa Etheridge Takes On Elisabeth Hasselbeck Over Prop 8
Melissa Etheridge stopped by “The View” Tuesday, but before singing a Christmas song she challenged co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck about Prop 8.
Etheridge married partner Tammy Lynn Michaels, which whom she has twin two-year olds, in 2003.
“To have people vote to take away rights is very un-American,” Etheridge told the cohosts talking about her disappointment over Prop 8.
She then singled out Elisabeth for a previous show’s discussion on the issue when she cited a Swedish priest. “I was saddened with your conversation only because I felt you misleaded people when you started to talk about a Swedish priest who was put in jail…”
Elisabeth got defensive and backed away. “We’re not in California. I didn’t vote on Prop 8. I wasn’t there…”
