Despite trends giving Barack Obama a lead of somewhere in the range of seven to nine percentage points in most national polls, as with previous elections, the race for the White House appears destined to come down to a few key states and the latest Rasmussen survey gives Sen. John McCain a sliver of an edge in two that are key — North Carolina and Florida.
