Hanging Effigy of Sarah Palin Comes Down in West Hollywood, Obama Effigies Appear

After days of press coverage and pressure from neighbors, West Hollywood Mayor Jeffrey Prang and conservative forces across the nation, sheriff’s officials now say the West Hollywood homeowners who hung a mannequin made to resemble vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin in their front yard as part of a Halloween display have agreed to take the Palin effigy down. Now come reports that similar effigies of Barack Obama have begun appearing in other parts of the country.
