Gay rumours a compliment: Jackman Ninemsn

Hugh Jackman has continued to tackle gay rumours while promoting Australia, going as far as to recount his teenage years preying on drunk girls as proof of his sexuality.

Jackman told MTV that the three biggest rumours about him were “gay, gay and gay”, stemming from his time playing Peter Allen in Broadway show The Boy From Oz.

“I was playing a gay guy. I actually took it as a compliment,” Jackman said, despite previously admitting that the gossip did bother his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

“I just think the whole idea of judging someone based on their sexuality is ridiculous.”
