Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and prominent Mormon Steve Young is promoting “No on Prop. 8," with a sign on his lawn. Young, the great, great, great grandson of Brigham Young, for whom Brigham Young University—Steve Young’s alma mater—is named, and his wife Barbara Young, have broken with the prevailing trend among Mormons and planted “No on 8” sign in the yard of their Palo Alto home.
