Record number of gay candidates running for office

The Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, an organization that works to elect openly gay candidates to political positions and the largest gay political action committee, announced today that it has endorsed 100 candidates, making this endorsement slate the group’s largest ever.
Gay candidates are running for office at all levels of government, from school boards to Congress, according to a press release.
