John McCain Better for All Americans, Not Just Gays

Like all Americans, gay people need leaders who stand up to entrenched interests, who have effected real change. Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin are such people. Given how both have expressed tolerance for gay people, judging us not by our sexual orientation, but as individuals, we can rest assured that they will not kowtow to the anti-gay minority in the Republican Party. They will not single out any groups for discrimination or censure, but will press for reforms which benefit all Americans. We don’t need gay-specific legislation to improve our social standing. We just need to let the free market work.
