Hypocrite of the Week: Sandra Bernhard

A few weeks ago Sandra Bernhard said during a performance of her one-woman show that Republican vice-presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin "would be gang raped by my big black brothers in Manhattan." Because of that joke Rosie’s Place, a Boston-based women’s shelter, has dropped the comedienne from the roster of talent performing at the organization’s upcoming benefit gala. Now Bernhard says her words were taken out of context and that she’s ‘terribly upset’ over the cancellation of her performance. Really?
