Gay-rights group protests at Columbia campus

Members of a gay-rights group who traveled to Columbia International University say they had a good discussion with school administrators and students.

The group Soulforce scrapped plans Monday to try to enter the campus against school administrators’ wishes.

The group is protesting school policies that Soulforce says discriminates against gays. Columbia International University’s student handbook forbids homosexual behavior.
