The Connecticut Supreme Court is deciding Friday whether same- couples in the state are legally entitled to .

The court says it will rule on a lawsuit that challenges the state’s law as unconstitutional because it allegedly discriminates against couples.

Eight same- couples sued in 2004, saying their constitutional rights to equal protection and due process were violated when they were denied licenses.
