On the eve of the last presidential debate, the Latino Commission on AIDS called yesterday for an endorsement of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day by senators John McCain and Barack Obama. Observance of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day began in 2003, taking place on October 15 and marking the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month and the first day of renewing the Latino population’s fight against HIV and AIDS.
