In the latest twist in the 2008 race for the White House, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has left the campaign trail to visit his 86-year-old grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, whose health is said to be extraordinarily fragile at the moment. Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who will be 86 on Sunday, helped raise him along with his mother, Ann Dunham, and his grandfather, Stanley Dunham.
