AIDS Activist Allan Rosenfield Dies

Allan Rosenfield, an advocate for women’s and issues worldwide for more than 40 years, died last week of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or ‘Lou Gehrig’s Disease.’ He was 75. Rosenfield served as dean of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public , and throughout his career worked on issues related to maternal -related deaths, women’s reproductive , human rights, and family planning.
