Roger Federer Takes Fifth US Open Title

He’s done it again! For the fifth year in a row, Swiss tennis phenom Roger Federer took home the U.S. Open championship trophy at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Monday. Federer overcame his opponent, the No. 4 ranked Brit Andy Murray, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 to win the crown. This historical win makes Federer the first player in history to win five titles in a row at both the Open and Wimbledon.
