We’re stepping up our campaign to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” - and we’re kicking things off with a brand-new website.

Click here to get a first look at the new Servicemembers Legal Defense Network site:

http://www.sldn.org/

This new SLDN.org does more than simply present the facts about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The site is an online action center for supporters and activists like you to become a central part of our growing campaign.

At the site, you can write to Congress, tell your friends about the importance of lifting the ban, and join our campaign’s rapid response team to breaking news and events. You can also read our blog, “Frontlines.”

In fact, we have one important action that you can take right now. In honor of our service members, we want to show our opponents the faces of other Americans impacted by “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” - not just the brave men and women who serve, but also their loved ones, and other civilians who live in a less safe country because of the policy.

If you are not currently serving, we want to hear from you… and if you are serving, we want to hear from your friends.

Because of Defense Department regulations, retirees should not submit photos in uniform. Generally speaking, however, it is fine for retirees to submit their civilian photos and stories. Veterans and retirees should see this link concerning the risks of speaking out about DADT.

Upload your picture to the new SLDN.org, and tell us why you’re against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Your photos and your stories may be used on our site in the coming weeks and months to tell the world the truth about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Not only does “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” weaken our military readiness, but it attacks our families.

Thanks to your help, we’ve been making strides in our mission to eliminate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Together, we are working hard every day to make a difference for our service members and for our country.

Sincerely,

Aubrey Sarvis
Executive Director
