Prop 8 Fueling Vitriol at Folsom Street Fair

Every year, the Folsom Street Fair becomes a target of the only organizations more perverted than the fair itself — Americans for Truth, Mission American, Liberty Counsel, etc. They usually just show up incognito and take a bunch of photos for posting on the Internet atop rants about depravity in America, then presumably sneak peaks later during vigorous masturbation. But this year, with gay marriage legalized in California and a prop on the ballot aiming to smack it down, those up-tight righties are full-out foaming at the mouth.

The Americans for Truth “a national organization devoted to exposing and countering the homosexual activist agenda,” are coming all the way from Naperville, Illinois, to yell things on the steps of City Hall tomorrow (Friday). They’ll also attempt to confront Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi for “welcoming a sadistic homosexual street fair to the city — featuring hundreds of men walking around fully naked and engaging in public sex acts, as police stand idly by without enforcing decency laws.”

Then there’s the Liberty Counsel, an Orlando-based “non-profit litigation, education and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and the traditional family.” “Think we don’t need Prop 8? Think again!” advises their press release entitled “California Approves Public Orgy – Folsom Street Fair is Back Again.”

More ridiculous stuff from their press release:

“During the Folsom Street Fair, hundreds, if not thousands, of fully nude men walk the public streets engaging in oral sex, sodomy, and some of the most debauched and vile acts of sadomasochism. These outrageous activities happen in broad daylight. Children are allowed to, and do, attend this event and are witness to this nudity and public sex. This is nothing short of child abuse. Where are the police, you ask? They’re ordered to stand by and watch as this criminal activity occurs right in front of them. In the past, the San Francisco Police Department hosted a police recruiting booth at the event.”

“Newsom, Pelosi and other liberal politicians who support the Folsom Street Fair are the very same politicians who oppose California’s Proposition 8, which, if passed, will abolish court-imposed ‘same-sex marriage’ and restore the legitimate definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. The radical San Francisco exhibitions at the Folsom Street Fair reflect the same values responsible for imposing ‘same-sex marriage’ on the people of California. The vast majority of Americans do not want San Francisco’s anti-family agenda to take root in their own communities.”

“It’s not just about California. It’s about saving America as we know it.”
