Meet Out Magazine‘s Mr. November, actor James Franco, one of the stars of Gus Van Sant‘s Milk. He is, as they say, a real catch. We think he’s dreamy. We think he’s the cat’s meow. He’s smart and thoughtful and serious about his art, in all its many forms. He is also quite possibly the biggest Van Sant fan we have ever met, and was actually inspired to first become an actor when he saw Van Sant’s My Own Private Idaho.

Following his announcement that Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin would be his running mate Republican Presidential nominee John McCain scooped up the URL VotefortheMILF.com, which roughly translates to ‘Vote for the Mother I’d love to f**k.’ In an election cycle rife with charges of sexism toward Hillary Clinton, and now Sarah Palin, McCain’s team bought up the URL.
‘Entourage’ Gets a Gay Hollywood Makeover
One of the many reasons I enjoy HBO’s pals-on-the-loose-in-Hollywood comedy Entourage is that I watch it and think, ‘I’ve been there.’ Yes, I’ve stomped some of the same grounds as Vince, Turtle, Eric, and Drama, broken bread at some of those same eateries, driven-while-texting down some of those same boulevards. There’s just one problem. Entourage isn’t gay enough.
Senate Okays Bill to Require HIV Testing in Prisons
The Senate Judiciary Committee approved a bill on Thursday that would require HIV antibody testing and counseling for all incoming inmates and follow-up testing to be available annually. Prisoners potentially exposed to HIV while incarcerated could request follow-up testing and counseling at any time. All HIV-positive inmates also would be guaranteed consistent, comprehensive medical treatment, including antiretroviral medications, while incarcerated.

‘Genre’ Model Sues Magazine for Gay Harassment
A model for Genre Magazine who claims a series of provocative photos intended for his personal use were reprinted without his permission is suing the magazine after he says he was subjected to unwanted advances and harassment from gay men. Benjamin Massing appeared in the magazine’s March/April issue in what he considers to be a ‘cruel and vulgar’ shot.

Lesbian Basketball Player Sues SMU, Coach for Discrimination
A basketball player is suing her college and her coach for $2 million, saying her scholarship was revoked when she complained about being targeted for being a lesbian. Jennifer Colli, a former guard for Southern Methodist University’s women’s basketball team, says that coach Rhonda Rompola made several inquiries about a relationship with another teammate, according to The Dallas Morning News.
