Talk show giant Oprah Winfrey’s first, very personal foray into the arena politics in endorsing Barack Obama may be having an unexpected ripple effect that could ultimately impact viewership of her top-rated daily chat fest and readership of her popular magazines O and O at Home. As the Florida Federation of Republican Women calls for a boycott of Winfrey’s show and magazines in response to her refusal to consider booking GOP vice-presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin as a guest, Oprah faces a dip in ratings and wave of anti-O criticism in the blogosphere.
