MSNBC Dumps Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann from Election Coverage

After making poor showings against CNN, which led in viewers during the Democratic National Convention, and getting trounced by Fox News during last week’s Republican National Convention, MSNBC has announced that Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann will no longer be anchoring the network’s election coverage. Veteran chief White House correspondent David Gregory will replace the bickering talking heads, both of whom will still remain on the sidelines as analysts.
