John McCain Surges Ahead of Obama, Gains Four Point Lead In Latest Polls

On the heels of last week’s Republican National Committee and the highly touted national debut of his vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, GOP presidential nominee John McCain has rebounded in the polls, taking a four point lead over his democratic rival Barack Obama according to a USA Today/Gallup survey taken from Friday through Sunday. The lead is the largest advantage for McCain in either USA Today/Gallup Polls or Gallup Poll Daily tracking since May and his best performance since January.
