The Human Rights Campaign has released a statement slamming the Log Cabin Republicans endorsement of John McCain and Sarah Palin. The gay and lesbian Republican group announced their endorsement at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday. HRC President Joe Solmonese took the Log Cabin Republicans to task for calling McCain a ‘maverick,’ saying the Republican presidential nominee and his vice-presidential running mate are anything but.
