British pop star George Michael apologised to his fans Sunday for “screwing up again” after being cautioned for possession of drugs in London. “I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I’ll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them,” he said in a statement.
The 45-year-old was arrested Friday around Hampstead Heath in north London, taken to a police station and given a caution for possessing class A and class C drugs, police said. Drugs classified as class A include crack cocaine.
The star, who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, with seven US number one singles, 11 number one singles in Britain and six number one albums, has admitted using drugs in the past. Full story
