With more than six million eligible U.S. voters living overseas, the battle for the White House is raging not just on American shores but abroad as well. In London where some 300,000 U.S. voters reside, Republicans are busy registering new voters and targeting Americans working in London’s Canary Wharf financial district, while former Vice President Al Gore was joined by Hollywood A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson in the British capitol on Thursday for a series of events designed to raise money for Sen. Barack Obama‘s presidential election campaign.
