David Bowie Album Named ‘Gayest of All Time’

When asked about his sexuality, in the January 1972 issue of Melody Maker magazine David Bowie told a reporter, ‘Yes, of course I’m gay, and always have been.’ Six months after making that controversial announcement in the sexually charged 70’s, Bowie released the landmark The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust album which would transform him into an icon. So it stands to reason that when Out Magazine named its list of 100 Gayest Albums of All Time last week, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust was at the top.
