Distracted by the athletic prowess of the likes of Michael Phelps, Misty May Treanor and the entire women’s gymnastics team, I’m not surprised that I almost missed a story that has had Olympic size repercussions in the LGBT community. It seems that the Democratic National Committee has released a draft of its platform and no where are the words lesbian or gay to be found.
