Comedian Bernie Mac Hospitalized With Pneumonia

Comedian Bernie Mac is being treated for pneumonia in a Chicago hospital, his publicist told People.com. Mac, often dubbed the ‘King of Comedy,’ is reportedly responding well to treatment and is expected to be released from the hospital soon. The comedian and actor was diagnosed in 1993 with sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease, but the disease is currently in remission and was reportedly not the cause of his pneumonia.
