Bernie Mac Death from Pneumonia Shocks Hollywood

Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning from complications of pneumonia, his publicist announced today. Mac was admitted to a Chicago hospital on August 1st with pneumonia and rumors quickly began to circulate that he was in serious condition or was already dead. His publicist denied these rumors throughout the week, saying only that Mac was ‘responding well to treatment’ and expected to be released soon. Mac’s death was reportedly unrelated to his previous diagnosis of Sarcoidosis disease.
