Angelina Jolie Lands Role Originally Planned for Tom Cruise

Angelina Jolie is more man than Tom Cruise now that the Oscar-winning humanitarian is stepping into the title role in Edwin A. Salt, a part producers had originally attached to the Mission Impossible star. The Columbia Pictures spy movie is slated for 2010 with screenwriter Kurt Wimmer reworking the script to accommodate Jolie in the role, and Rabbit Proof Fence director Philip Noyce at the helm.
