Two of the most taken for granted votes in the Democratic Party are African-Americans and LGBT folks. I mean, who are we going to vote for? John McCain? Please. The reality, though, is that aside from some lip service along the line that our rights and needs will be addressed and I’m not simply talking about LGBT issues, but African-American’s issues, too the candidates know they are going to get our vote and drop our issues like a hot potato.
