Hundreds of gays and lesbians have marched through Bucharest, Romania, in a show of pride. Thousands of people gathered along the two-mile (three-kilometer) route. Some spectators cheered; others jeered. Hundreds of police patrolled the march. The atmosphere was tense but there were no reports of arrests.
